Fire-work artists nationwide gather at Tsuchiura for this event, considered one of the biggest, most fascinating fire-work event in Japan.

20,000 fire-works to be launched, 700,000 visitors expected.

This event was the world's first winner of the "Good-design prize 2010" as a fire-work event. While many of the "usual" fire-works are for watching, this event won the prize for its creativity in visitor participation. Drop by to see how and what they do.

The highlight of this event is simple; the world's biggest fire-work is launched here. The 4-shaku dama, diameter of 1.2m and weighing 420kg, is registered in the Guiness World Record as the "biggest fire-work in the world".
